Accessibility

We want everyone to be able to use SIFTR, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader, a magnifier or a phone.
What we’ve done so far
- The pages work at phone width without scrolling sideways.
- Every picture has a written description.
- You can see where you are when moving around with a keyboard.
- Movement on the page is switched off if your device asks for reduced motion.
- The text is written in plain English, with headings in order.
What we haven’t checked yet
- We haven’t yet tested the pages with screen readers.
- We haven’t had an independent accessibility audit.
- We haven’t yet checked every colour combination against the WCAG 2.2 contrast standard.
We plan to do these checks before we work with any public sector partner, and we’ll update this page when we have.
